A work for solo marimba composed for percussionist Barbara Freischlad. The piece takes its inspiration from the New Mexican legend of the culebría, a bolt of lightning that is said to sneak into people's houses through open windows during the night.
This work makes use of the entire range of the marimba, starting at the lowest C and gradually making its way up to the top C.
